Through their life enrichment program, Ascendigo has gone above and beyond in supporting his growth and independence. They helped him secure a paid position as a Spanish translator for the City of Glenwood Springs, and they continue to teach him essential life skills like preparing a hot lunch. The staff’s dedication doesn’t stop there; they provide him with enriching afternoon adventures like horseback riding, skiing, boating, and hiking, which have become highlights of his week.
My son sometimes struggles with anxiety, but Ascendigo has equipped him with tools to manage it. They’ve taught him to accept his thoughts, reframe them, and stay present, allowing him to move forward with confidence. As a registered service provider through the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), we help individuals with disabilities obtain competitive integrated employment through a comprehensive program.
Many businesses benefit from the unique talents and skills that individuals on the autism spectrum, and others with developmental disabilities bring to the workplace.
